Finland Korisliiga: Cory Johnson makes 19 points in Korihait’s loss against Kauhajoki

After Korihait lost the previous game against Pyrinto, they had to take on Kauhajoki at home. In the first half both teams played at a good level and the team were even at the end of the first quarter. (21 -21). Just before halftime Kauhajoki took a small lead. At halftime the score was 46 -47. In the third quarter the difference was made and Kauhajoki made a run, outscoring Korihait with 13. In the 4th quarter Korihait fought back, but never really came close. Final score 77 – 91. Scorers1st client scored 19 points and for Kauhajoki Kelly Beidler scored 13 and grabbed 10 rebounds.

UK BBL: Cole and Schneck have good individual performance despite loss for the Cheshire Jets

The Cheshire Jets and the Health Sharks Sheffield were both looking to begin with a win in 2012 last night. The Sharks were 5-5 and the Jest 3-8 before the game started.

Both teams had suffered some setbacks in the approach of this game. The Sharks missed Justin Dobbins and Jimmy Langhurst and the Jets missed Colin O’Reilly, but Scorers1st client Matt Schneck returned on the court for the Jets after being sidelined for some time.

Despite the good individual performances of the Scorers1st clients Bill Cole and Matt Schneck, the Jets couldnt take home a win against the Sharks. They lost 90 -77. Bill Cole contributed with 19 points and Matt Schneck with 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Coming Sunday the Jets have another chance to get a win when they face the Guildford Heat at home.

BEKO BBL: Tim Ohlbrecht stays with the Fraport Skyliners

German National Team Power Forward/Center will stay with the Fraport Skyliners and is looking forward to helping the team of Head-Coach Muli Katzurin to stay in the league and possibly trying to make a late Play-Off run.

Tim joined Frankfurt this past summer while competing in the European Championships in Lithuania with the German National Team.

Koriisliga: Cory Johnson shows up big in a tough loss to Topo

In the game where Korihait had to take on the nr. 4 of the league Topo, Scorers1st client Cory Johnson had a very big performance. Although Korihait was leading with 1 point at the end of the third quarter, they couldnt keep up that performance in the last quarter. The hometeam outscored Korihait 25 -16 in the fourth claiming the win. Cory posted 28 points and 9 rebounds 8-16 2p shots and 4 -4 3p shots

US Guard Tajuan Porter (University of Oregon) joins Scorers1st

US Guard Tajuan Porter has inked a representation agreement with Scorers 1st Sportmanagement. The former Oregon Duck (PAC10) played in the French ProA in 2010/11 and is looking forward to joining a team for the 2011/12 season soon.

Tajuan is a Point Guard who can also provide scoring to the Shooting Guard position. His game film from France can be found on his player page on our website.

DBL: Ross Bekkering has good performance but gets injured in win over Zwolle

Ross Bekkering had a good performance last night in the win over Landstede Zwolle. There were 6 Scorers1st clients on court and 4 of them came off the court celebrating. It was the team of headcoach Michael Schuurs that needed a win after two tough losses against Groningen en Leiden. Nijmegen now are postioned at the third spot in the dutch basketballeague, Landstede Zwolle drops to spot six. Ross Bekkering had 15 points and 9 rebounds. His brother Henry had 9 points and 4 rebounds and on the Zwolle end Nikki Hulzebos had a decent performance with 9 points and 6 rebounds. Ross had to leave the game at the end with a broken hand.

Scorers1st clients lead WBC Wels over Gussing 101 -63

At Wels our three clients Ali Farokmanesh, Todd Brown and Quentin Pryor lead their team, together with Joe Werner, to a win again after they lost their two previous games. With three dunks of Todd Brown and a threepointer from halfcourt of Quentin Pryor the Wells team putt an exciting performance on the hardwood. The final score was 101 -63 for the team of headcoach Peter Miller. Joe Werner posted 20 points, Quentin Pryor, 18 points and 6 assists, Todd Brown 15 points and 7 rebounds and Ali Farokmanesh 12 points and 3 assists.

DBL: Ralf de Pagter scores careerhigh 22 points in first win of Rotterdam Basketball College

The young big man of the Rotterdam Basketball College and scorers1st client, Ralf de Pagter, scored a careerhigh 22 points last night in the first win of Rotterdam Basketballcollege. From the start the college kids of Rotterdam came out hard and posted a 4 point lead after the first quarter. However Leeuwarden fought back and the half time score was 37 – 36. In the second half the game went up an down ending in a 73 -73 score at the regular time. In the overtime Rotterdam clinched the win with de Pagter shooting 9 – 12 from the field and 3 – 4 from the freethrowline. On the other end Scorers1st client Mark Peter Hof scored 2 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in 8 minutes.

Pro A: Mason and Stommes lead Webmoebel Baskets to win over Chemnitz

Jefferson Mason & Justin Stommes led the webmoebel Baskets to a 93:81 victory over the Chemnitz 99ers. Stommes had a strong 28 points, 4 steals, 3 assists and shot 5-5 from 3 point range. Jefferson Mason combined 17 points and 8 boards in 24 minutes of playing time. Jorge Schmidt came out strong for Chemnitz with 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists while always hustling and working hard to keep his team in the game.

Jusuf El Domiaty scored 14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals for the Cuxhaven Bascats in the homegame loss of the Cuxhaven Bascats. The Bascats lost 93 – 95 against USC Heidelberg last saturday in the german Pro A. Cuxhaven has an 4-2 record now that places them at the sixth spot in the Pro A.
