The game was the second home game of Landstede, a team that in the opinion of headcoach Herman van den Belt could possible be the best team that has ever played in Zwolle. However the intensity  the youngstars of Amsterdam layed on the court was admirable and succesfull. Positive note on the Zwolle end was Nikki Hulzebos, who returned to Zwolle after he played for Matrixx Magixx for a year. He ended up with a double/double 12 points and 10 rebounds. After Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden had an overtime win in the first round of the Dutch Basketball League and BSW lost with a big difference last week, most people expected an easy win for Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden. How different would things end up after the last horn had blown. Leiden really had no chance against a really motivated BSW Weert with an exploded Glen Stokes who scored 28 points. Scorers1st client Ross Bekkering played only 22 minutes due to foul trouble but ended up with 14 points and 10 rebounds anyway.

However the defensive pressure of the composed Eiffel Towers team was too much for the team from Zwolle. The 53 points that were on the scoreboard for Landstede at the end of the game showcased which an defensive pressure Zwolle had to deal with. Because of the injury of Scorers1st client John Smith, the young big man of Eiffel Towers had to step up and so they did. Dutch NT member Nikki Hulzebos returns to his former team Landstede Basketball from Zwolle. After one year with the Matrixx Magixx he decided to join coach Herman van den Belt, who also returned to Zwolle after a one year stint with WCAA Giants. Nikki was a free agent after the financial problems Matrixx Magixx had to deal with. With Nikki, Landstede brings in a player that has a lot of experience not only in general, but also with the style of play of coach van den Belt. So they bring in a stronger and more mature Nikki Hulzebos.
