Finland Korisliiga: Cory Johnson makes 19 points in Korihait’s loss against Kauhajoki

After Korihait lost the previous game against Pyrinto, they had to take on Kauhajoki at home. In the first half both teams played at a good level and the team were even at the end of the first quarter.  (21 -21). Just before halftime Kauhajoki took a small lead. At halftime the score was 46 -47. In the third quarter the difference was made and Kauhajoki made a run, outscoring Korihait with 13. In the 4th quarter Korihait fought back, but never really came close. Final score 77 – 91. Scorers1st client scored 19 points and for Kauhajoki Kelly Beidler scored 13 and grabbed 10 rebounds.

UK BBL: Cole and Schneck have good individual performance despite loss for the Cheshire Jets

The Cheshire Jets and the Health Sharks Sheffield were both looking to begin with a win in 2012 last night. The Sharks were 5-5 and the Jest 3-8 before the game started.
 Both teams had suffered some setbacks in the approach of this game. The Sharks missed Justin Dobbins and Jimmy Langhurst and the Jets missed Colin O’Reilly, but Scorers1st client Matt Schneck returned on the court for the Jets after being sidelined for some time.
Despite the good individual performances of the Scorers1st clients Bill Cole and Matt Schneck, the Jets couldnt take home a win against the Sharks. They lost 90 -77. Bill Cole contributed with 19 points and Matt Schneck with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
Coming Sunday the Jets have another chance to get a win when they face the Guildford Heat at home.

US Guard Tajuan Porter (University of Oregon) joins Scorers1st

US Guard Tajuan Porter has inked a representation agreement with Scorers 1st Sportmanagement. The former Oregon Duck (PAC10) played in the French ProA in 2010/11 and is looking forward to joining a team for the 2011/12 season soon.

Tajuan is a Point Guard who can also provide scoring to the Shooting Guard position. His game film from France can be found on his player page on our website.

We are happy to welcome Tajuan Porter to Scorers 1st!

Cory Johnson joins WCAA Giants Bergen op Zoom (DBL)

Power Forward Cory Johnson has signed a one year deal with WCAA Giants in the Dutch Basketball League. Cory comes from Valparaiso University where averaged 14.1 ppg and 4.4 rpg. With adding Cory Johnson to their roster the Giants bring in real scoring ability. His mobility and strength will cause distinct matchup problems to the opposing teams. His athletic ability and agresiveness make him a very good defender. Technical Manager Marcel Lohr states ” His strength combined with his athletic ability give us some real fysical strenght in the paint”

Steve McNees (Akron) signs one year deal with WBC Raiffeissen Wels

Scorers1st client Steve McNees signed a one year deal with WBC Raiffeissen Wels. McNees heads to Wels for his first professional season. He graduated from Akron University in the MAC conference. Last season Steve suited op in 36 games averaging 8.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists. Akron University was the MAC Tournament winner in 2011 and in 2009. In 2008 McNees was named MAC All-Freshman Team.

Maryland Point Guard Adrian Bowie joins Scorers 1st Sportmanagement

US Point Guard Adrian Bowie has signed a representation agreement with Scorers 1st Sportmanagement.

Bowie is a 6’2″ point guard who can look back at a 4 year career with the University of Maryland Terrapins who play in the strong ACC conference. During the 2010/11 season Adrian started in 29 games for the Terrapins averaging 8.8 points a game, 3 rebounds per game and 3.55 assists per game.

“We are excited to have Adrian and his family join Scorers 1st. Adrian is a very ambitious player and can look forward to a long  pro career. We are happy that he has chosen to be a part of Scorers 1st!” said Scorers 1st GM Gerrit Kersten-Thiele.

J.T. Tiller will be represented by Scorers1st Sportmanagement

J.T. Tiller will be represented by Scorers 1st from now on

J.T. has been one of the leaders for the Mizzou Tigers for the past couple of years which has developed into one of the top programs in the prestigious Big12 conference under the guidance of Head-Coach Mike Anderson, who also recruited Tiller to play his college ball for the Tigers.

J.T. has been the Co-Defensive Player of the Big12 in 2009 and was on the Big12 Defensive 1st Team in 2010. He is a strong guard who is able to lead a team and he will not only be able to produce and get stops on the defensive end. His high basketball IQ paired with his athletic ability and strength allow him to also be dominant on the offensive end with his ability to drive and attack the basket as well as shooting the ball or setting up his teammates.
